Hotel 47° is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is strictly forbidden throughout the building. In the event of a guest smoking in his/her room, an extra charge of at least € 150.00 will be imposed to cover cleaning and renovating costs. Should smoking occur in other parts of the hotel building, we will charge a fee in accordance with the damage incurred.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer room service. We are happy to take your order in the restaurant and provide it for you to pick it up.

In our sauna area on the 6th floor you will find a Finnish sauna, a sanarium, a steam bath and a spacious area for revitalizing and relaxing.
In the SPA - Sports you can really burn off energy. Please note that access to the sauna area is only allowed from the age of 16.

Your individual wellness bag, with bathrobe, two sauna towels and flipflops, is available at reception on payment of a deposit of € 75.00. We ask you to hand it over at reception on leaving. Please only use the wellness bag, the bathrobe and the towels in the hotel. Towels for use when swimming in the Rhine can be borrowed at reception (deposit of € 5.00 per towel).

A child up to the age of 5 can sleep in its parents‘ bed at no extra charge. We can however provide you with a cot free of charge. An additional bed can be placed in your room if you have booked either a superior or a deluxe room or a studio. For children between the age of 4 and 11 years old we charge € 40.00 including breakfast and for children from the age of 12 and adults we charge € 60.00 including breakfast.

You will find an EDEKA supermarket, a drugstore (dm), a bakery and other shopping facilities in the shopping mall directly opposite the hotel. There is a weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 7.00 am til 1.00 pm, around the St. Gebhards church (Peterhausen) as well as on Tuesdays and Fridays on the Stephansplatz in the centre of town.

Please take a second to read the fire safety notice on the back of your cabinet door and make sure you know your nearest fire exit. The assembly point in case of an evacuation is the place opposite the hotelcentre. (see also pint safety information)

Your bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating which can be operated manually. Please note that the power supply in your room is only activated when your room card is inserted in the fitting next to the door specially designed for this purpose.

We accept EC, Maestro, VISA, Mastercard and American Express. A Volksbank EC cash machine is available in the EDEKA centre opposite the hotel. Various banks can be found at the Marktstätte in the centre of town.

If you would like to explore furthermore the lake of Constance area after your stay, please contact our reception for the storage of your luggage.

Certain rooms with parquet floor are available for guests travelling with a pet (maximum 1each room). We charge a fee of € 15.00 per night. Please indicate that you would like to bring a pet when booking your room. In the case of failure to comply with this regulation, we will be forced to charge a fee of € 50.00. We kindly ask you to deposit € 70.00 upon arrival. Impurities will be charged with a fee of at least € 150.00 covering extra cleaning costs. Further information is available at reception.

Voltage in the hotel is 230 Volt. You may borrow standard rechargers at reception. If you require a different type of charger, these are available at Media Markt approx. 100 m from the hotel. Adapters for swiss devices are available at reception.

We recommend leaving the basic setting of the air conditioning as it is. Room temperature can be adjusted by turning the rotary control to the right or left depending on temperature required. You can alter the speed of the ventilator by pressing the button on the right. If you require any assistance, we will be pleased to assist you.

The bus routes 4/13 run directly from the hotel via the central transfer point sternenplatz to the town centre. Please change at sternenplatz for bus number 5 if you wish to go to the thermal baths and for bus number 4/13 for Mainau Island. To the island you can also use the direct line 4/13, from the stop Bodenseeforum (100 meters from the hotel). Further information and the current timetable are available at reception. The city bus lines are complimentary with your guest pass (“gästepass”) within the city of Constance.

The next post office is located in Markgrafenstraße 17, 78467 Konstanz, about 10 minutes on food.

Please deposit your valuables in your room safe or in the hotel safe. We cannot assume liability for valuables which have gone missing and were kept elsewhere. The hotel assumes liability in accordance with applicable laws. Liability is thereby limited to a hundredfold of the price of the room, however to € 3,500.00 at the most and in the case of money, securities and precious items to € 800.00 at the most. Money, securities and precious items up to a value of € 30,000.00 can be kept in the hotel or room safe. We recommend you make use of these facilities. Your room safe is located in the wardrobe next to the door. The manual is in the cabinet.

Upon arrival we recommend to make yourself familiar with some basic safety procedures:
Carefully review the map in the cabinet and locate the closest emergency exit.
Find out about fire extinguisher and fire alarm.
In case of fire contact the reception and leave your room using the next emergency exit.
Do not panic and follow the instructions of the hotel staff and the fire brigade.

Our wide selection of pillows guarantees an excellent night’s sleep. We will be pleased to bring you the pillow you require. The hire charge is € 5.00 per pillow and stay. You have the choice: pillow with duck feather, thermoelastic memory pillow, bolster with goose feather, pillow with spelt filling, pillow with millet filling and heat cushion (upon availability). Please ask for further details at reception.

We will be pleased to make copies for you and charge you
€ 0.20 a copy. Unfortunately we cannot accept data carriers for safety reasons.

In Constance visitors tax for guests over 16 amounts to € 2.50 per night (2019 prices).
The guest pass allows you to travel by bus and train free of charge in Constance’s town centre. Various tourist destinations in Constance and its surroundings grant a discount on entrance fees.

Our hotel is equipped with a modern and efficient emergency system including smoke detectors in all guest rooms and public areas. We want to make sure you are prepared to exit in case of emergency. If any of our detection systems sound a warning, familiarize yourself with the following procedures:
. Take your key-card with you.
. Test your door for heat or smoke before opening it. If your door feels warm or is impassable, place wet towels at the base of the door.
. If the hallway is clear, exit by the nearest stairway and go to the assembly point in front of the hotel.
. Do not use elevators.
. Contact the reception and inform us, giving your name and room number.
. Turn off your ventilation or heater to keep smoke from entering the room.
. Get down on the floor to avoid inhaling smoke.

. Lock your door securely using all locking devices when you are in your room and always use the viewport to identify visitors.
. Before opening your guest room door, ask for identification. If you are uncertain about anyone who comes to your door, contact the reception.
. Place your valuables in the in-room-safe or at the hotel’s deposit boxes available at the reception.
. When leaving your room, make sure the windows and the doors are locked.

Should you require a taxi, please let us know at reception and we will be pleased to call one for you.

If you would like your clothes to be washed or ironed, please hand them over at reception in appropriate bag. Alternatively, our house-keeping team can collect the bag from your room. A price list and a laundry bag is in the cabinet.

Our reception will take care of your wake up calls. Please be informed that we will be concerned to fullfill your requirements with the best possible service. However, we have to reject any legal responsibility if requested.

You will find a selection of cosmetics as well as the hotel’s own products in the hotel shop. Please place your order at reception by 8:00 pm the evening before leaving. We will be pleased to have your purchases ready for you on departure. A small choice of toiletries such as toothbrushes etc. is available at reception.

Our drinks and snack machines can be found on all floors. They provide you with a wide range of products allowing you to choose whatever you like most.
